Let’s Glitter It Up!

0

The special time of year is approaching and along with it comes the eternal question – especially for women – what to wear. I’m trying to give a little bit of inspiration for this in my two subsequent blog posts, from which the first one is right here. So, as you probably already guessed, it’s going to be something sparkling. I’m, by the way, not such a glitter lady normally, so all the more interesting to dress up in a glittering outfit for the festivities. It’s a special occasion, so why not to go out of your usual style and your comfort zone and to try something totally different.

I have chosen two outfits, inspired by the French fashion brand Morgan, who is masterfully combining modern materials, elegance and a medium-range price point. The first outfit is a golden glitter top, combined with a classically elegant black skirt and a matching glittering clutch bag. Be wise about the choice of skirt, shoes and jewelry, as the glittering top and clutch are anyway about to steal the show, so there’s really no need to go over the top with other items. Anyway, it glistens just beautifully in the candlelight or – in my case – where one is lucky to be in front of a cozy fireplace. The very essence of Christmas.

For those, who would still prefer a little sparkle, but not quite glittering, is the second outfit – a coral shade dress with a modest, tastefully sprinkled sparkling. What’s good about it, is that it’s really a figure-hugging model, so it fits very different body types, beautifully stressing the feminine curves. The shade works especially well with a little bit of tan, or a bronzer, for that instance.
