Highlights of Tallinn Fashion Week

Tallinn Fashion Week is freshly behind us, so it’s time to sit back, relax, reflect and – pick the favorites.

As for the overall level, it is hard to make generalizations or bring out the average, as there were fashion brands who brought to the catwalk once again their unique wow-factor, but unfortunately also those, whose collections were lacking that little something, be it a unique story or the invisible connecting line between looks that makes the overall collection harmonious. If I could give just one suggestion to our designers or collection heads, it would be to try to grasp each time your collection’s idea, from the overall inspiration to design aesthetic, in a couple of sentences, like when giving interview to foreign press. That’s a very useful exercise when checking if it follows a coherent line or is a bit too much all over the place.

But, enough of that, let us go straight to the designers and fashion brands that wowed once again and made of it a truly unforgettable prolonged fashion weekend.

Whimsical bold knitwear by Triinu Pungits

Alluring modern summer brides by Aldo Järvsoo with designed headpieces by Tanel Veenre

Greek-inspired summer goddesses by Riina Põldroos

Rocking playfulness by Ketlin Bachmann that has combined dream-inspired mystical animals with the rainbow of colors, creating truly mesmerizing looks. I mean, who could get her eyes off those adorable flying pigs?

Dreamy spring pastels by Diana Arno

Fashion brand Monton combined in their show two collections that left the audience style-inspired for the upcoming spring-summer season. When their #nofilter collection was all about the courage of self-expression and combining different, at first sight controversial, styles, their Talented collection took the inspiration from the popular denim trend and indeed – from lemurs, the animals that the brand has also chosen to support and protect.

Sporty elegance by Amanjeda Sport Couture, perfect for upcoming city breaks.

Thank you, TFW, till next time!
