Alberto Guardiani wows with its new Women’s Collection

Alberto Guardiani, one of the Italian footwear flagship brands that we covered not so long ago for their sporty and elegant Men’s line, was recently also presenting their SS’17 Women’s collection during Milan Fashion Week. In short, we would sum it up – wow! The collection, created for modern cosmopolitan women, offers an amazing array of trendy color and material combinations, being at the same time eccentric, surprising and irresistible.

The collection is very much rooted in the brand’s heritage in the Italian shoe making traditions, as one can see the effortless combination of masculine and feminine style elements, leaving still the overall impression of an ultra-contemporary shoe. „Feminine but ironic, practical yet naïve, Alberto Guardiani’s muse is not afraid to dare,“ told the brand itself.

It’s hard to choose favorites, as much depends on your style and on any chosen look at any given time, but without a doubt one of the eyecatchers for me was the Holly shoe, one of the new entries for the season with its significant retro appeal, oversized rubber heel and high plateau that combines two very bold patterns that you don’t see so often together – zig-zag and oversized polka dots. A must-have pair! And ladies, also Victoria Beckham has decleared that she can’t concentrate in flats, so (though we in reality love also flats, right!), there’s really no excuse not to have the heels involved in your everyday goings.

Having said that, we also can’t get the eyes off the Alberto Guardiani’s flats. For example, the New England shoe, one of the reworked celebrated classics of the brand, combining feminine and masculine style, a moccasin with an ankle boot, generously garnished with modern embellishments. Or the Sharkboot, featuring the recognizable shark tooth sole. Or then again the famous Ginger with its high and light sole, fashionable attitude and Swarovski studs. Or the last, but not least, our hearts were stolen also by the sporty urban Laki, light, cool and incredibly cosmopolitan.
